When a Remote is taken out of the Receiver, Phase Manager should show its status as "Linked" once calibration completes. If the status stays on "Calibrating" indefinitely, or if the Remote shows a question mark on the battery icon while in the Receiver, here is how to fix it.

Steps
- Re-link the Remote
Place the Remote back in the Receiver and long-press the A or B button for 3 seconds to re-link it. The LED strip will flash, then hold a solid color. See the full linking guide if needed. - Place the Remote on a flat, still surface
Take the Remote out and place it on a completely flat and still surface. Do not move it while the LEDs are animating. Wait until the LEDs turn solid before using it. - Restart Phase Manager
Quit Phase Manager completely, then relaunch it. Reconnect the Receiver and take the Remote out again. - Let the Remote charge fully first
A Remote with a very low battery may not complete calibration properly. Place it back in the Receiver and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before trying again. - Reinstall the firmware on the Remote
Open Phase Manager and go to the Update Center. Right-click the affected Remote (A or B) and select "Update Remote". This reinstalls the firmware even if the Remote is already on the latest version, and fixes potential installation errors. After the update, let the Remote charge for 2 hours before taking it out.
If the status is still stuck after all these steps, there may be a hardware issue with the Remote. Get in touch with the team and include a short video showing the behavior in Phase Manager.
Still stuck on Calibrating?
The Phase team will look into it.
