How to link a Remote to the Receiver?

Modified on Tue, 16 Jun at 3:27 PM

Each Remote needs to be linked to a specific deck on the Receiver before it can control your DJ software. This takes about 10 seconds.

What you need

  • Phase Receiver powered via USB
  • Both Remotes charged

Steps

  • Place both Remotes into the Receiver docks.
  • Long-press the A setup button (3 seconds) to link the Remote in dock A to deck A. The Remote's LED strip will flash briefly, then hold a color. If the LED color matches the A button color, the link is confirmed.

  • Long-press the B setup button (3 seconds) to link the Remote in dock B to deck B. Same confirmation behavior.
  • Take the Remotes out of the Receiver
The LED strips keep their assigned colors. The A and B setup buttons on the Receiver turn white when the docks are empty. This is normal.

Notes

  • Each dock can only be linked to one Remote at a time. If you link a new Remote to a deck that already has one assigned, the previous Remote will flash red briefly and turn white, meaning it has been disconnected.

  • A white LED on a Remote means it is not currently linked to any Receiver.
  • If you are unsure whether the Remotes are properly linked, just run the linking process again.

FAQ

Do I need to re-link after every firmware update?

Yes. After a firmware update, re-link the Remotes by long-pressing A and B before taking them out of the docks.

What if the Remotes appear as ""not found"" in Phase Manager?

Place them in the Receiver, unplug the USB cable from the Receiver, plug it back in, and try linking again.
