Phase Essential Remotes different battery life: is it normal?

Modified on Fri, 4 Sep at 5:02 PM

A small difference in battery level between the two Remotes is a normal behaviour

Phase Remotes use Li-ion batteries, and each battery is unique. Usage pattern, temperature, and environment all affect discharge rate, and the drain is not linear: a Remote may lose charge faster at the beginning of a session and slower toward the end.

If the gap stays within a few percentage points, there is nothing to worry about.

When to investigate

If one Remote drains significantly faster than the other across multiple sessions, run this test to get a clear picture:

  1. Fully charge both Remotes to 100% and wait for the LEDs to turn solid.
  2. Open Phase Manager and start spinning both Remotes.
  3. Note the battery level of each Remote every hour in Phase Manager.
  4. Continue until one Remote turns off.

If the results show a large and consistent gap between the two Remotes, get in touch with the team and share the data from your test.
