When DJing in a new venue (or one you've already been DJing in), we recommend to follow these directions to make sure you’ll make the best out of your Phase.
- Make sure your Remotes are properly charged.
- After the Soundcheck, put back the Remotes on the Receiver to ensure optimal battery life
- Don't forget to allow a few seconds for the Remotes to calibrate their internal sensors when you take them out of the receiver: place them on a flat and still surface, and wait for the LED to turn solid.
- If needed, run a manual calibration of the Remotes with Phase Manager a brief moment before playing your first track. This will ensure you’ll get the best possible accuracy in terms of playback and BPM.
If you feel the unit’s accuracy could be better, it may mean the radio communication between the Receiver and the Remotes is disrupted by surrounding waves in the venue. There are three things you can do in this situation:
- Link the Remotes to the Receiver again: this will assign new radio channels for the Receiver and the Remotes to communicate.
- Make sure the Receiver is as close as possible to the Remotes, and that no metallic object standing in-between could disrupt the data exchange.
- Activate the Boost Radio feature to improve the transmission power of the Remotes.
