One Phase Receiver controls two decks only. It is not possible to use four turntables simultaneously with a single Receiver, regardless of the edition you own.
To perform with 4 decks, you need two Phase Essential units.
What you need
- 2 Phase Essential units (2 Receivers + 4 Remotes)
- A 4-channel DVS mixer or two audio interfaces (DVS mode), or a DJ software supporting 4-deck HID with two Phase units (HID mode)
- Firmware v9.0 on both units
How it works
Each Receiver handles two Remotes (deck A and deck B). With two Receivers, you control four decks independently. Both units are configured separately in Phase Manager.
Setup
- Plug both Receivers into your computer via USB. Phase Manager will detect them as two separate units.
- Configure each Receiver in Phase Manager: set the correct DVS signal for each unit (DVS mode), or verify HID recognition (HID mode).
- Link the Remotes to their respective Receiver: long-press A or B in the correct dock.
- Place the Remotes on the turntables and wait for the LEDs to turn solid before spinning.
- In your DJ software, assign each Phase unit to the correct deck pair.
DVS mode: each Receiver needs its own RCA connections into the mixer. Set the mixer input to LINE on all four channels.
HID mode: both Receivers connect via USB only. Verify that your DJ software supports two simultaneous Phase HID units.
