Phase Essential Receiver not turning on when powered

Modified on Fri, 4 Sep at 5:54 PM

If the Receiver's LEDs remain completely dark when you plug in the USB cable, and the Remotes won't turn on or charge, follow these steps to identify the cause.

Steps

  1. Try a different USB cable
The cable may be defective. Test with a different, known-working USB cable.
  2. Try a different power source
Connect the Receiver directly to a wall outlet using a 5V/500mA brick charger. If it turns on, the original power source was not delivering enough power. Avoid powering Phase from a mixer USB port or an unpowered USB hub.
  3. Test on a different computer
If you are powering via a computer, try a different USB port or a different machine to rule out a port or driver issue.

If the Receiver remains off after all these steps, there may be an internal hardware defect. Get in touch with the team and include a short video showing the Receiver plugged into a wall outlet with no LEDs lighting up.

Receiver still won't turn on?
The Phase team will take it from there.
