Can I use four Remotes with one Receiver?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use one Phase Receiver with four decks simultaneously, even if you own the Ultimate edition. This is due to the fact that Phase only has two audio outputs.
It is hence impossible to use one Phase Receiver with four turntables simultaneously.
How can I perform with Phase using 4 decks?
This requires two Phase units (two Receivers and four Remotes) and a compatible DVS or HID workflow.
What you need
- Two Phase Essential units (each with its own Receiver and two Remotes)
- A 4-channel DVS mixer or two separate audio interfaces (for DVS mode)
- Or a DJ software that supports 4-deck HID with two Phase units (for HID mode)
- Firmware v9.0 on both units
- Phase Manager v2.4.6
How it works
Each Phase Receiver handles two Remotes (deck A and deck B). With two Receivers, you control four decks independently. The two Receivers must be configured separately in Phase Manager.
Setup steps
- Plug both Receivers into your computer via USB. Phase Manager will detect them as two separate units.
- Configure each Receiver in Phase Manager: set the correct DVS signal for each unit if using DVS mode, or verify HID recognition if using HID mode.
- Link the Remotes to their respective Receivers: place each Remote in the correct dock and long-press the A or B button.
- Place the Remotes on your turntables and let them calibrate (wait for solid LEDs) before spinning.
- In your DJ software, assign each Phase unit to the correct deck pair. The exact steps depend on your software.
DVS mode note
In DVS mode, each Receiver needs its own pair of RCA connections into the mixer or interface. Make sure the mixer is set to LINE input (not PHONO) on all four channels.
HID mode note
In HID mode, no RCA cables are used. Both Receivers connect via USB only. Check that your DJ software supports two simultaneous Phase HID units before attempting this setup.
FAQ
Can I use two different firmware versions on the two units?
No. Keep both units on the same firmware version for consistent behavior.
Do I need two separate Phase Manager accounts?
