Setting up Phase with Djay PRO (mobile devices only)

In this article, we'll guide you through the process of setting up your Phase Essential with your Djay pro with a smartphone or an iPad

Before Starting

• Make sure that you’ve unlocked The PRO subscription on djay PRO
• Make sure that your Phase is up to date with the latest firmware version (If you need more information about how to update Phase Firmware, please check this article)

Detailed steps

1. Plug your Phase Receiver to your computer or a power outlet
    
2. Connect your controller our DVS mixer to your Smartphone (depending on which device you’re using, you might need a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter)
   
   
3. Connect the audio outputs of the Phase Receiver to the Line inputs of your DVS Mixer or Controller
   
   
4. Open the Phase Manager software, then on the "Setup" tab, choose the custom DVS signal set to 1000Hz
   
   
5. Finally make sure your DJ software's virtual decks are set on “REL” mode.

Once you’ve followed these steps, you will be ready to use Phase with Djay PRO and your Smartphone !

Note:
If you’re unable to control the decks with your Phase unit, make sure to allow your DJ software to access the microphone in the security settings.
With Apple devices, it is sometimes a necessary step to make sure that DVS works with it.

To use Phase with djay PRO in DVS (with RCA cables), you will need a DVS interface (mixer or external soundcard).
