Setting up Phase with Djay Pro AI (mobile devices only)

This quick setup tutorial provides detailed instructions on how to get your DJ equipment ready to use with Phase and Djay Pro on IOS mobile devices.

Requirements 

• Phase up to date with the Firmware 9
• The latest version of djay PRO AI on mobile
• A DVS mixer or soundcard
• The PRO subscription on djay PRO

Detailed steps

1. Connect your DVS mixer to your mobile device. Depending on which device you’re using, you might need one of the following adapters:    

- iPad or Mac with USB-C port: USB-C to USB Adapter

- iPad or iPhone with Lightning port: Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

2. Set the deck mock to "USB" to enable DVS mode

3. Connect your Phase to a power supply (5V) using a USB cable

4. Connect the Phase Receiver to the "Line" inputs of your mixer (or DVS soundcard) via RCA

5. In the Phase Manager "Setup" tab, set the Phase DVS signal to "Custom" at 1000hz

6. Open the Djay app on your mobile device, enable DVS in the settings, and set the decks mode to "Relative".

7. Now, place your Remotes on top of your records, and wait a few seconds for the calibration to complete before you start spinning.
