How to Update Your Phase
Keeping your Phase firmware up to date is the single best thing you can do for performance and stability. Updates bring new features, bug fixes, and battery improvements.
What you need
- Phase Manager installed (v2.4.6): phasedj.com/configuration
- Compatible OS: macOS 10.12 or higher, Windows 10 or higher
- Phase Receiver connected via USB to your computer
- Internet connection
Steps
- Open Phase Manager
If an update is available for Phase Manager itself, a notification will appear in the header bar. Update the app first. - Plug your Phase Receiver into your computer via USB. The unit will be detected automatically.
- If a firmware update is available, a red button will appear on the main dashboard. Click it to go to the Update Center.
- In the Update Center, follow the on-screen instructions to update the Receiver. The process takes a few minutes.
- Once the Receiver update is complete, leave both Remotes in the docks and re-link them by long-pressing the A and B setup buttons for 3 seconds each.
- Take the Remotes out of the Receiver
The firmware will finish installing on the Remotes at this stage. The LEDs may take a bit longer than usual to turn solid. Wait until they do before using them.
Most Common Issues
The update fails or shows an error message
- Quit Phase Manager, unplug the Receiver, and plug it back in.
Try a different USB cable and a different USB port. - If the error persists, use the Force Update: in the Update Center, right-click on the Receiver icon and select "Update Receiver".
- If the unit is completely stuck, activate Bootloader Mode: unplug the Receiver, hold both A and B buttons simultaneously, then plug the USB cable back in while holding them. Phase Manager will show a recovery screen. Click Reset to reinstall the firmware.
